An ongoing story
Solo Exhibition at the Binyamina Library
6/1/2022 - 14/4/2022
The exhibition An Ongoing Story was created especially for the space of the Binyamina public library, as a connection between the essence of the creative process, and the development of a plot in a book (for which the library is a home...).
Creation for me is a journey into the unknown. The kind of unplanned trips, where you flow with the experience, with whatever arrives.
In the children's book "Harold and the Purple Crayon", Harold draws the path for himself while walking. Nathan Alterman, in his poem "The Melody Returns", describes the path that "... once again the road opens wide..." and Constantine Cavafy in his poem "Ithaca" talks about the meaning of the path, the understanding of its importance, alongside the recognition of the unimportance, or secondary importance, of the destination.
"As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery... ".
The "story" in the exhibition is divided into an introduction and five chapters. The chapters, too, are not made of a single piece, except for the fifth one. The manner in which the works were created was unplanned, but in sequence. from left to right. Changes can be noticed, along the way.
